Unravelling Your Own Truth and Wisdom

As a Tibetan Buddhist practitioner, student & teacher, I’m sharing many views on life with the worldwide known Tibetan Buddhist teachers; my favourite ones so far are Dalai Lama, Geshe Tashi Tsering, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Lama Marut, Pema Chödrön and Thubten Chödrön.

I don’t take their words at face value at all! And that’s where the point is.

As the Buddha advised his students and followers, not to worship him or trust him but to examine his words in our own life. This is what Buddhists really do.

We examine. And with our own examination, our minds change. We taste, feel, explore everything by ourselves. In a guided way.

Buddhist wisdom

What happens next is that we dig out the same wisdom that lies in all of us. And as a consequence of that, we recognise the other’s wisdom. Mostly in their words.

So, of course, we are then able to share the same experience of the truth. The same truth that the Buddha, the Dalai Lama and all other Buddhist followers experience and share.

That’s how it works. It’s blissful and humbling to live life in that way.

I personally always cry when I recognise a mind in front of me that resonates with that wisdom. The gratitude for the confirmation of that wisdom leaves me with no other way to express myself but with the response of my heart, the place where unconditional love for all humanity lives. For everyone equally.

That love starts with unravelling our own truth and wisdom.
